5 ways to save $50 at the grocery store

Saving money--everybody wants to but its so hard to figure out all the tips and tricks! These are some easy money saving tips that I have found help us tremendously. Most mama's are ballin' on a budget so try these tricks to help save money on your next trip to the grocery store.

   1. Buy In bulk store
Buying things in bulk at places like Costco and Sam’s Club can save you lots of money especially on toiletries, pantry items, beverages and baby products.

2.  Buy meat in bulk
Buying meat and poultry in bulk will help reduce monthly spending. Eat what you want and freeze the rest. Buying your meat in bulk cost you less per pound. It may seem expensive up front but break down the price, it is much cheaper.

      3.   Don’t Buy prepared food
If your wanting to save money that means sometimes you have to throw convenience out the door because you will be paying for that convenience. Spend a little extra time in the kitchen, make it a family affair!

         4.  Buy store brands
Buying store brands instead of name brand saves you lots of money.
Don't fall into branding tricks, majority of store brands are exactly the same as the name brand products. In fact, some items at stores are name brand just repackaged and sold as store brand. Some store brands even outrank brand names when it comes to overall quality and price.

       5.  Apps
There are lots of apps out there that allow you to receive rebates and coupons that will save you lots of money.
Ibotta: Provides rebates on a number of retail items, but you’ll find the most savings opportunities at national and regional grocery stores
Checkout 51: Features a new list of about 20 offers every Thursday morning. They include rebates on items you don’t normally find coupons for, such as tomatoes, strawberries, and bananas.
Shopmium: Like Checkout 51, the rebate offers on Shopmium can be redeemed at any store where the products are sold.
Cellfire.com: Sends coupons directly to your loyalty cards.
. Coupons.com: Add grocery and drugstore coupons to your store loyalty cards and automatically save when you use them at the register.
I have only tried ibbota and have personally made $50.
